Job description

Arcadis is seeking experienced Structural Engineers to join their Resilience Water team, focusing on sustainable solutions for water infrastructure. The role involves planning, designing, and delivering structural solutions for various water-related projects, addressing challenges posed by climate change and urbanization. Candidates will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to create innovative designs that prioritize sustainability and technical excellence. This opportunity is part of Arcadis's commitment to building a strong talent pipeline for future growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related field
  • 5 years of structural engineering design experience, preferably supporting water/wastewater infrastructure projects
  • Proficiency in STAAD Pro and working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit
  • Solid understanding of applicable codes and standards such as the International Building Code (IBC) and American Concrete Institute (ACI) guidelines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the planning, design, and delivery of structural solutions across a diverse portfolio of water infrastructure projects.
  • Develop and evaluate structural design concepts based on site conditions, project objectives, regulatory requirements, and constructability considerations.
  • Perform structural assessments and engineering analyses to support feasibility studies, planning efforts, and detailed design.
  • Prepare high-quality technical deliverables, including engineering calculations, design drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Collaborate with civil, mechanical, electrical, and environmental engineers to deliver integrated, sustainable solutions.
  • Support project delivery by assisting with budget tracking, schedule adherence, and coordination of project milestones.
  • Participate in site visits, client meetings, and project-related travel as required.

Benefits

  • Employees at Arcadis are often offered a supportive, inclusive culture with internal mobility, extensive learning and development resources, and the flexibility to choose benefits that fit their needs (varying by country). Many roles also emphasize purpose and community—through sustainability initiatives, charitable programs like Shelter, and regular social and volunteer events—so people can grow their careers while making a positive impact.
