Job description

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join their Resilience Water Team in Texas. This role focuses on utilizing expertise in structural design and construction engineering to execute projects in the Municipal & Industrial Water/Wastewater and Water Resources sectors. The engineer will lead various water and wastewater design engineering projects while overseeing junior staff. The position emphasizes strong communication skills and collaboration with multiple engineering disciplines throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

  • 10 years of structural engineering experience in Water/Wastewater.
  • Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License in Texas in Structural or Civil/Structural.

Responsibilities

  • Lead water and wastewater design engineering and construction projects.
  • Conduct structural condition assessments and produce design calculations.
  • Manage budgets, schedules, deliverables, and project completion.
  • Organize and conduct structural investigations and planning work.
  • Research alternative design approaches and regulatory specifications.
  • Develop calculations, plans, specifications, RFPs, and other contract documents.
