Job description
Arcadis is seeking an engineering intern to join their Water Business Line in El Paso. The team focuses on protecting natural environments and water resources while addressing challenges such as climate change and urbanization. Interns will engage in evaluating, planning, and designing projects related to water, wastewater, and stormwater. This role offers opportunities for fieldwork and collaboration with team members across the U.S. and internationally.
Requirements
- Pursuing a BS in Civil, Environmental, or Water Resources Engineering, or a closely related academic discipline.
- Knowledge of engineering concepts, theories, and practices related to water, wastewater, and stormwater.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, plan, and design projects for water, wastewater, and stormwater treatment and conveyance.
- Conduct vulnerability and mitigation assessments for sustainability and resilience projects.
- Perform fieldwork activities such as site visits, sample collection, and water quality analyses.
- Support asset management projects through data analytics and performance evaluations.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and participate in client meetings.
- Ensure project compliance with Arcadis practices and quality, health, and safety standards.
