Job description

Arcadis is seeking a Civil Engineer to join their team in the Denver, Colorado area, focusing on sustainable design and engineering solutions across various sectors including mining, oil and gas, and rail. The role involves a mix of engineering design, permitting, and field engineering, allowing for a dynamic work environment. The successful candidate will work both in the office and remotely, contributing to diverse projects while interfacing with clients and contractors. This position offers the opportunity to mentor junior staff and grow within a collaborative team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • Registered Professional Engineer with a willingness to obtain reciprocity in western states such as Colorado, Wyoming, and Arizona
  • 7+ years of related experience
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Experience with hydrologic/hydraulic modeling software such as HydroCAD, WinTR-55, PondPack, and HEC-RAS

Responsibilities

  • Develop and plan hydraulic modeling and calculations
  • Conduct erosion and sediment control evaluations and layout
  • Perform watershed evaluations and earthwork site design
  • Prepare permit and construction-level drawings and details
  • Interface directly with clients and contractors to manage project delivery
  • Assist in the field with construction and inspections
