Job description
Arcadis is seeking a Civil Track Engineer to join their North America mobility group, focusing on railroad industry projects. The role involves providing design support for Rail and Industrial Infrastructure projects across North America. Candidates will work in a collaborative environment with a team of engineering professionals. The position is preferred in Chattanooga, TN, Jacksonville, FL, Chicago, IL, or Omaha, NE, but other locations in the US are also considered.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited university
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the engineering industry
- Experience using industry-standard computer software such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D
- Familiarity with local codes, regulations, and standards governing design and construction projects
- Understanding of design aspects including alignments, layout, grading, drainage, and erosion control
Responsibilities
- Work with a team of engineering staff during the production of plans and specifications
- Review regulations and standards necessary to conduct technical studies and carry out project design and permitting activities
- Analyze reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, tests, and aerial photographs to develop technical design information
- Use computer-assisted engineering and design software to prepare engineering and design analysis and documents
- Prepare reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, and technical designs for railroad and industrial facility projects
- Address Requests for Information (RFI) from contractors related to design documents
