Job description
Arcadis is seeking a highly motivated Lead Transmission Line Engineer to join the Power Delivery & Renewable team. This senior technical position involves direct client interaction and management of project execution, ensuring compliance with codes and standards. The role focuses on delivering HV and EHV transmission line projects while coordinating with various engineering disciplines. The successful candidate will also mentor junior team members and engage in business development activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience within Transmission line projects from 69kV up to 500kV
- Proficient with PLS-CADD software, with knowledge of PLS-POLE or PLS TOWER being a plus
- Ability to engineer and design HV and EHV transmission foundations, material, plan and profiles, and construction packages
- Design experience adhering to National Electrical Code, National Electric Safety Code, IEEE codes and standards, and local codes and ordinances
Responsibilities
- Support, develop, and deliver HV and EHV transmission line projects from 69kV up to 500kV
- Independently perform engineering and detail design drawings, studies and analysis, plan and profile documents, prepare bidding documents and specifications
- Identify, evaluate, and support work with project planning, environmental, permitting, and construction management
- Coordinate closely with civil, structural, high-voltage electrical, telecommunications, and geotechnical engineers to develop complete design packages
- Act as Project Manager, Proposal Manager, Program Manager, Account Manager, and Technical Lead to support project and client services
- Conduct quality assurance/quality control on the work of other electrical engineers, electrical designers, or technicians
- Participate in meetings with clients, contractors, and vendors to support business development and project execution
