Job description
Arcadis is seeking an entry-level Environmental Engineer to join their Resilience Environment team in Los Angeles or Irvine, CA. The role focuses on supporting environmental assessment and remediation projects, particularly in emerging contaminants. The candidate will work closely with Senior Engineers, Scientists, and Project Managers to improve quality of life through sustainable solutions. This position involves both fieldwork and office tasks, requiring strong organizational and communication skills.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Civil, Mechanical, or related engineering field
- EIT Certification is preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong communication skills
- Focus on health and safety
- Excellent team-building and organizational abilities
Responsibilities
- Participate in field investigations, sampling activities, and pilot programs.
- Provide program support for a diverse portfolio of projects.
- Oversee operation and maintenance of remediation systems.
- Design and oversee system improvement projects and upgrades.
- Conduct soil and groundwater investigations and sample collection.
- Engage in site characterization, remedial design, and feasibility studies.
- Compile, evaluate, and ensure quality assurance/quality control of data.
- Write reports and support permitting and cost estimating.
- Coordinate with project managers and senior engineering staff.
- Support emergency response teams for unforeseen incidents.
