Job description

Arcadis is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join their Los Angeles or Irvine office, focusing on electrical power systems design for water and wastewater facilities. The role involves providing technical consulting services and collaborating with a team of professionals. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology, preferably with an emphasis on power.
  • 7 years of relevant work experience.
  • Fundamentals of Engineering / Engineer in Training certificate.
  • Registered Professional Electrical Engineer in California or able to acquire via reciprocity from registration in another state in the USA.

Responsibilities

  • Support projects and clients in the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater facilities.
  • Develop design criteria, perform calculations, and prepare one-line diagrams, control schematics, plans, and specifications.
  • Collaborate closely with the Control Systems group and oversee construction activities.
  • Review submittals, respond to RFIs, conduct field inspections, and ensure QA/QC and safety compliance.
  • Perform or supervise power system analyses using tools such as ETAP or SKM, including arc flash hazard studies.
