Job description
Arcadis is seeking two Principal Water/Wastewater Treatment Engineers to join their team in Houston, TX and Austin, TX. This role focuses on leading projects related to water and wastewater treatment design and construction support services. The engineers will be critical in managing project delivery, engaging in client development, and mentoring junior staff. The position is part of the Resilience global business area, aimed at protecting natural environments and water resources.
Requirements
- 12 or more years of related industry experience in the water/wastewater field.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related field.
- PE License in Texas or ability to obtain TX PE within 6 months.
Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse portfolio of projects for various clients across the region.
- Oversee project budgets and delivery schedules.
- Lead project teams to ensure all deliverables are met.
- Provide technical leadership throughout the planning, design, and construction phases.
- Prepare construction documents and develop specifications.
- Manage construction oversight and administration.
- Support client development activities and contribute to proposal efforts.
- Collaborate with Area Leaders and client Account Leaders to define project scopes.
- Mentor junior engineers and technical staff.
