Job description
Arcadis is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join the National Water Management Team in Little Rock, AR. The role focuses on delivering engineering and consulting services for projects related to shoreline stability, flood risk reduction, and waterfront infrastructure resilience. The ideal candidate will have progressive geotechnical experience and will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team. This position offers the opportunity to tackle complex challenges in water management and infrastructure design.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, or a related field is required.
- 5 years of geotechnical experience is required.
- The candidate must be a Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or able to obtain a license in Arkansas within 3 months.
- A Master's degree in Civil Engineering is preferred.
- A minimum of 8 years of geotechnical experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in using programs such as gINT, SEEPW, SLOPEW, CWALSHT, PYWall, LPILE, and GROUP is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Utilize expertise and technical knowledge to lead geotechnical projects related to water management and flood resiliency.
- Conduct geotechnical analyses for levees, dams, floodwalls, and other hydraulic structures.
- Prepare geotechnical recommendations that aid in the development of designs, drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Work with a multi-disciplinary Water Management team to deliver innovative designs for clients.
- Evaluate data from instrumentation systems at levees, spillways, outlet works, and slopes.
- Assist in planning and coordinating geotechnical field investigations.
- Review boring logs and laboratory data.
- Prepare design/bid packages for permitting and construction.
- Coordinate and oversee construction administration and inspection services.
- Plan field exploration and laboratory testing programs.
