Job description
As a Staff Environmental Engineer at Arcadis, you will collaborate with a diverse team of scientists, engineers, and project managers on environmental assessment and remediation projects. This role emphasizes process-mechanical technical work, project task management, and the mentoring of junior staff. You will be responsible for leading environmental remedial systems and assessments while ensuring compliance with regulatory specifications. Your contributions will help address complex environmental challenges and improve quality of life globally.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental, Chemical, or Civil Engineering or closely related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience
- 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training and appropriate annual refresher certifications preferred
- Engineer-In-Training certification or Professional Engineering license preferred
- Experience with AutoCAD or Revit preferred
Responsibilities
- Lead environmental remedial systems and assessments with guidance from senior staff.
- Prepare detailed design drawings, technical specifications, and design calculations.
- Coordinate with various engineering design disciplines to produce cohesive design documents.
- Research feasibility of alternative design approaches and site conditions.
- Assist with the development of Remedial Investigation and Feasibility Study Reports.
- Coordinate and participate in field activities, including onsite treatment system startup.
- Perform remedial system operation and maintenance and assist in preparation of O&M reports.
- Participate in task management and associate project management tasks such as budgets and change orders.
- Travel up to 25% for field construction, startup activities, and client meetings.
