Job description

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Stormwater Resilience Engineer to join their team in Austin, TX. This lead role focuses on developing stormwater opportunities in Central and North Texas. The engineer will collaborate with technical experts to execute projects that enhance stormwater management and flood resilience. This position emphasizes protecting the natural environment while addressing the challenges posed by climate change and urbanization.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in engineering.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering in Civil, Environmental, or related fields.
  • P.E. license or ability to acquire P.E. licensure in Texas within 6 months.
  • Proven experience in stormwater design or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of local market dynamics.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the development of resiliency projects focused on urban drainage systems, streams, and rivers.
  • Devise and implement both structural and non-structural mitigation solutions.
  • Manage the planning, design, and construction administration phases of projects.
  • Ensure compliance with contracts, drawings, specifications, codes, statutes, rules, and regulations.
  • Provide technical expertise on multi-disciplinary projects acting as a design leader or technical advisor.
  • Supervise and support the work of junior engineers and technical staff.
  • Engage directly with clients to identify needs and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Contribute to the preparation of proposals, presentations, and scopes of work for stormwater initiatives.
