Job description
Arcadis is seeking an Assistant Resident Engineer (ARE) to join their Water Division as part of the construction management team on the SFPUC Biosolids Project in San Francisco, CA. The role requires a self-motivated individual with 10 years of experience in municipal infrastructure and water/wastewater facilities. The ARE will work closely with the Construction Manager and Resident Engineer to manage day-to-day construction activities on a $2.4B project. Requirements
- Prior experience as an Assistant Resident Engineer on water/wastewater projects.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management.
- 10 years of experience with at least 5 years in Assistant Resident Engineering.
- Engineer in Training is preferred.
- Professional Engineer – California (active) is highly preferred.
- CCM certification is highly preferred.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Resident Engineer in managing change order review and response.
- Prepare for Testing/Start-Up/Commissioning/Acceptance of all facility equipment and systems.
- Coordinate with other projects within the Southeast Plant.
- Prepare general correspondence, required reports, and deliverables.
- Coordinate inspection staff and act as a liaison to the design team.
- Provide technical reviews of construction plans and specifications.
- Monitor Contractor performance, schedule, and overall responsiveness.
- Attend meetings with client managers and support the review of Contractor payment.
- Assist the Resident Engineer in leading meetings and other assigned responsibilities.
