Job description

Arcadis is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer in Houston, TX to support their multidisciplinary Design and Engineering team. The role focuses on designing HVAC, piping, and tank systems for various sustainable solutions. The Mechanical Engineer will collaborate with project teams, including architects and engineers, throughout multiple project phases. This position emphasizes the importance of effective communication and teamwork to deliver impactful engineering solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience producing IFC drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple project assignments.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare engineering and construction documents including drawings, specifications, and design narratives.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with AutoCAD Revit and Load Calculation Software.
  • Travel as required to attend project meetings and design reviews.
  • Assist in the preparation of engineering estimates and proposals.
  • Coordinate with architects and other engineering disciplines.
  • Perform various system studies including thermal comfort and energy management.
