Job description

Arcadis is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer (HVAC) to join their multidisciplinary Design and Engineering team in Seattle, WA. The role focuses on designing heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems for various facilities. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will collaborate with architects, engineers, project managers, and clients to deliver sustainable solutions. You will be involved in multiple projects throughout the design and construction phases, ensuring high-quality engineering outputs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • 4 or more years of relevant experience in Mechanical Engineering
  • Design experience producing IFC drawings and specifications
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and Load Calculation Software (Trane Trace, HAP)
  • Knowledge of industry standards (ASHRAE) and building codes

Responsibilities

  • Prepare engineering and construction documents including drawings, specifications, and design narratives
  • Assist in the preparation of engineering estimates and proposals
  • Work with other team members to develop sealed drawings of your designs
  • Coordinate with architects and other engineering disciplines
  • Perform various system studies including thermal comfort and energy management
