Job description

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Stormwater Program Manager / Senior Engineer to lead complex stormwater management and green infrastructure projects in the Seattle region. This role involves overseeing planning, design, permitting, and delivery of urban water resilience programs while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and community stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise and proven program leadership experience, particularly with Seattle Public Utilities and similar organizations. This position emphasizes innovative solutions to enhance urban resilience and sustainability.

Requirements

  • Masters Degree in Civil, Environmental, Landscape Architecture or Water Resources Engineering or related field.
  • 10 years of experience in the planning, design, and permitting of stormwater management and green infrastructure projects.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Washington State is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of local, state, and federal stormwater regulations and permitting pathways.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, design, and permitting of stormwater management and green infrastructure projects from feasibility through construction.
  • Manage multidisciplinary teams to ensure project delivery within scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Direct collaborative and alternative delivery programs for municipal stormwater and green infrastructure initiatives.
  • Guide project approaches and provide oversight on stakeholder coordination with partners such as Seattle Public Utilities and community groups.
  • Mentor engineering and project management staff, offering strategic direction and quality review.
