Job description

The Senior Manager in Cybersecurity Operations & Threat Detection Response at EY will lead the strategy, design, and operation of Security Operations Centers (SOCs) for government clients. This role combines strategic advisory, operational leadership, and business development in highly regulated environments. The position focuses on modernizing security operations through AI and automation while ensuring compliance with government mandates. The Senior Manager will also be responsible for driving revenue growth and maintaining client relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Typically 8–12+ years of cybersecurity experience, including 4–5+ years in SOC or incident response leadership roles.
  • Experience leading large, complex cybersecurity engagements in consulting or managed services environments.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting government or highly regulated clients.
  • Professional certifications such as GIAC Security Expert (GSE), CISSP, CISM, CISA, or CRISC are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive security operations strategies and target operating models aligned to agency missions.
  • Design and implement SOC operating models that support cleared, U.S.-based delivery in environments up to the TS level.
  • Own engagement delivery outcomes, ensuring services meet EY quality standards and government client expectations.
  • Lead the design and operation of AI-enabled and automation-driven SOC capabilities.
  • Oversee day-to-day SOC operations supporting classified and unclassified environments.
