Job description

Arcadis is seeking an ITS Traffic Project Engineer to join the Intelligent Mobility Services Team in Nashville, TN. This role involves working alongside senior program managers, project managers, and engineers to lead the delivery of programs and projects across the Southeast. The engineer will focus on improving safety and operations in traffic engineering while developing sustainable solutions for mobility challenges. This position offers a hybrid work schedule, requiring attendance at client meetings and in-office work as needed.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar field
  • EIT with ability to obtain TN PE within 1 year of hire
  • Must possess a U.S. Driver’s License

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage scope, schedule, and budget for projects and programs.
  • Provide written and verbal updates on the status of projects to clients and internal senior management.
  • Present technical results and recommendations to clients.
  • Coordinate with a wide range of subject matter experts to successfully deliver client projects.
  • Utilize knowledge and experience conducting and documenting traffic studies following nationally accepted modeling practice.
  • Assist engineers in developing technical approaches and review technical results prepared by others.
  • Support the project team in the preparation of traffic engineering plans for various designs.
  • Coordinate and interface with clients to discuss technical elements of the project and present analysis results.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior engineers and interns in areas of technical proficiency and consultancy.
