Job description

Arcadis is seeking a self-starting and experienced Project Civil/Environmental Engineer to support a diverse portfolio of projects across the United States. The role involves collaboration with scientists, engineers, and project managers on civil design and environmental permitting projects in sectors such as energy, industrial, and transportation. The ideal candidate will have experience with federal and state environmental permitting and will contribute to the development of engineering designs. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental, Chemical, or Civil Engineering or closely related field
  • Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience
  • Fluent with AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, or other terrain modeling design software
  • Experience with hydrologic/hydraulic modeling software

Responsibilities

  • Develop engineering designs for permitting or construction permits in collaboration with project managers and team members.
  • Manage civil or environmental engineering projects, including land development and associated planning.
  • Analyze documentation such as technical reports, construction submittals, maps, and drawings to understand site characteristics.
  • Review applicable regulations, permitting requirements, and standards to inform design development.
  • Produce quality materials within tight timeframes while managing several assignments simultaneously.
  • Conduct field assignments and participate in client and stakeholder meetings as needed.
  • Delegate work and mentor junior engineers while facilitating group meetings.
