Arcadis is seeking a Senior Traffic Engineering Project Manager to join their Global Mobility team. This role focuses on leading traffic engineering, intelligent transportation systems, and traffic operations across the United States. Requirements
- Previous experience in traffic or transportation engineering.
- Degree in Engineering or a related field or equivalent.
- Professional Engineer license in Tennessee or ability to obtain.
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Experience with traffic analysis tools and field implementation of traffic signals.
- Professional credentials related to traffic, transportation, or operations research are a plus.
- Familiarity with design and mapping software and guidance documents.
- Experience with state or local transportation projects.
- Exposure to field audits, traffic sign and pavement marking design, or traffic signal field testing.
- Knowledge of local agency processes and permit requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead traffic operations, safety initiatives, travel demand analysis, and ITS design on small to mid-size projects.
- Conduct microsimulation and operational analyses to inform decisions regarding traffic flow and capacity.
- Develop signal timing plans and input data for centralized and local control systems.
- Design signing, pavement markings, and ITS layouts.
- Mentor junior staff and manage project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Support operations and maintenance policies and their implementation for integrated corridor management.
