Job description

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Roadway Design Engineer to join their Tennessee Mobility team in Nashville, Chattanooga, or Knoxville. This role focuses on infrastructure projects related to roadway design, including various types of highways and intersections. The successful candidate will lead engineering projects while mentoring junior staff and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. The team is dedicated to solving complex highway design challenges for state and municipal clients throughout the Southeast.

Requirements

  • 10 or more years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Tennessee PE license, or the ability to obtain one within 6 months.
  • Proficiency with MicroStation, OpenRoads, Geopak, InRoads and 3D Design.
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a professional engineering discipline lead for roadway design projects.
  • Mentor and provide direction to junior staff and design/drafters.
  • Develop project plans and schedules while managing production.
  • Ensure project compliance with all Arcadis practices including quality and safety standards.
  • Interact with client technical staff and manage client expectations.
