Job description
Arcadis is seeking a Senior Water & Hydraulic Engineer to join their Water Resiliency Planning & Design Teams. This hybrid role can be based in various Ohio locations and focuses on leveraging expertise in hydraulics and computer modeling to guide project teams. The engineer will play a key role in leading projects, mentoring junior staff, and developing new business opportunities. The work aims to protect natural resources and contribute to climate change adaptation and urban resiliency.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in water and hydraulic engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or a Professional Engineer (PE) license, or the ability to obtain one within one year of hire.
- Strong experience with hydraulic modeling, particularly using SWMM and/or ICM.
- Proficiency in GIS.
Responsibilities
- Develop wastewater and stormwater collection system models.
- Conduct system planning and perform regulatory studies.
- Provide technical input on new and ongoing projects.
- Guide technical teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Develop and review technical reports and lead client presentations.
- Coordinate project deliverables and contribute to scope definition.
- Enhance technical knowledge within the team by attending workshops and presenting at industry events.
