Arcadis is seeking a Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer/Project Manager to join their Resilience Water Team in Mobile, Alabama. This role involves managing water and wastewater-related projects through all phases of the project lifecycle. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with multiple engineering disciplines and participate in business development activities. The position focuses on delivering sustainable solutions and improving quality of life through effective project management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Structural Engineering or related field.
- 12 years of relevant engineering project management experience.
- PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- At least 6 years of experience in project management involving design and construction engineering for water and wastewater projects is preferred.
- Demonstrated project leadership experience as a Project Manager, Design Lead, or Technical Lead on various projects.
Responsibilities
- Manage each phase of assigned projects including contracting, planning, scheduling, budgeting, and supervising design.
- Perform evaluations of plans and technical designs for completeness and constructability.
- Support permitting and other professional engineering services during construction.
- Oversee the development of design calculations, technical reports, and specifications.
- Prepare construction packages for the engineering, procurement, and construction of water/wastewater/stormwater systems.
- Develop cost estimates and project schedules, ensuring completion within budget and on schedule.
- Supervise and mentor junior-level engineering and design/drafting staff.
- Prepare and present project-related information to clients for progress meetings.
- Travel for project site visits, client meetings, or other project-related activities.
