Job description

Arcadis is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join their Resilience Water team in Ohio, focusing on sustainable water infrastructure projects. This role involves designing solutions that address climate change and urban growth challenges. The engineer will work on projects such as upgrading water treatment facilities and developing resilient stormwater systems. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related field
  • 8 years of structural engineering design experience, preferably supporting water/wastewater infrastructure projects
  • Strong proficiency in structural design software, particularly STAAD Pro
  • Practical experience using AutoCAD and Revit
  • A solid understanding of relevant codes and standards, such as the International Building Code (IBC) and American Concrete Institute (ACI) guidelines
  • EIT certification or PE license is strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead structural design efforts for a diverse range of water infrastructure projects.
  • Conduct detailed structural assessments and engineering analyses to inform design strategies.
  • Prepare high-quality technical deliverables, including engineering calculations and construction drawings.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver sustainable design solutions.
  • Support project execution by monitoring scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Travel up to 25% to conduct site visits and oversee construction activities.
