Job description

Arcadis is seeking an Entry Level Geologist or Environmental Scientist to join their Resilience Environment team in Ohio or Pennsylvania. This role involves significant fieldwork, where the candidate will engage in various activities related to geology and environmental science. The focus will be on remediation, sampling, and monitoring, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Science or closely related field.
  • Prior environmental fieldwork internship or work experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in field activities, including supporting drilling operations and installing monitoring wells.
  • Conduct soil, groundwater, and air sampling in compliance with State and Federal standards.
  • Manage data tasks such as compiling, manipulating, and evaluating data.
  • Assist in writing and preparing technical reports, work plans, letters, and memoranda.
  • Produce figures, maps, and boring logs to visually represent project information.
  • Perform fieldwork including drilling oversight, groundwater sampling, and vapor intrusion surveys.
  • Travel locally and regionally, with potential overnight stays of up to 2 weeks.
