Job description
Arcadis is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join the Resilience Water team, focusing on the water-wastewater industry. This hybrid role can be based in Ohio or Detroit, MI. The primary responsibility is to provide technical and design consulting services related to electrical power distribution, controls, lighting, and communications for water division projects. The role emphasizes client interaction and project management skills to ensure successful project execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients' electrical needs.
- Assist in developing project management skills, including managing budgets and coordinating schedules.
- Perform electrical design and coordination tasks focusing on power distribution and lighting systems.
- Utilize CAD software for electrical system design and documentation.
- Establish design criteria and perform design calculations.
- Develop electrical design documents including one-line diagrams and control schematics.
- Provide engineering services during construction and review equipment submittals.
- Conduct field inspections to ensure safety compliance during construction.
- Perform electrical system analysis using power systems analysis software.
