Job description

Arcadis is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer to join the Resilience Water Team in Mobile, Alabama. This role offers an opportunity for a self-motivated engineer to lead design efforts and mentor junior engineers while working in a flexible hybrid environment. The engineer will focus on delivering sustainable solutions in the municipal water and wastewater market, contributing to the growth of the water practice in the Gulf region. Requirements

  • At least 7 years of experience in water/wastewater design is required.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Structural or a related field is required.
  • A Professional Engineer (PE) License in Alabama or the ability to obtain reciprocity within 6 months of hire is required.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills are essential.
  • Experience managing the preparation, review, and approval of project documents is required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage project delivery within the municipal Water/Wastewater market.
  • Provide leadership and technical knowledge to develop design team capabilities.
  • Manage project tasks in the planning, design, permitting, and construction of wastewater facilities.
  • Conduct condition assessment evaluations for water/wastewater system assets.
  • Develop and meet project scope, delivery schedules, and budgets.
  • Strengthen client relationships through professionalism and technical expertise.
  • Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technical staff.
  • Ensure project compliance with Arcadis practices and quality standards.
