The Principal Water/Wastewater Conveyance Engineer will lead a team in San Antonio or Austin, TX, focusing on water and wastewater conveyance design and construction support services. This role is critical for managing projects, engaging in client development, and ensuring successful project delivery. The engineer will work within the Resilience global business area, addressing challenges related to climate change and urbanization. The position involves mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with various teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Requirements
- 12 or more years of related industry experience in the water/wastewater field.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related field.
- PE License in Texas or ability to obtain TX PE within 6 months.
Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse portfolio of projects for various clients across the region.
- Oversee project budgets and delivery schedules.
- Lead project teams to ensure all deliverables are met.
- Provide technical leadership throughout the planning, design, and construction phases.
- Prepare construction documents and develop specifications.
- Manage construction oversight and administration.
- Support client development activities and contribute to proposal efforts.
- Collaborate with Area Leaders and client Account Leaders to define project scopes.
- Mentor junior engineers and technical staff.
