Job description

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Water Wastewater Engineer to join their Resilience Water Team in Atlanta, Georgia. This role involves providing technical expertise and leadership while managing multiple projects related to water treatment and wastewater facilities. The candidate will work in a flexible hybrid environment, balancing remote and in-office work. The position offers an opportunity to mentor junior engineers and collaborate with various stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions.

Requirements

  • 10 years of water/wastewater experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • PE License
  • Master’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or related field of study is preferred
  • Experience with alternative project delivery is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead projects/tasks and clients in the planning, design, and construction of water and wastewater facilities.
  • Supervise and support the work of team members while mentoring junior-level engineering and design/drafting staff.
  • Coordinate and manage the execution of projects in collaboration with other disciplines and management consultants.
  • Develop water and wastewater planning and design initiatives from project inception to completion.
  • Prepare comprehensive construction packages for the engineering, procurement, and construction of water systems.
  • Create detailed cost estimates and project schedules, ensuring design tasks are completed within budget and on time.
  • Oversee detailed engineering calculations and lead complex analyses using design software.
  • Produce high-quality deliverables for clients, including technical memoranda, reports, and presentations.
  • Collaborate with national communities of practice and subject matter experts to share knowledge and drive innovation.
  • Work directly with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.
