Job description

Arcadis is seeking a Principal Structural Engineer to join their Resilience Water Team in Virginia, Maryland, Washington D.C., or Georgia. This role focuses on leading structural engineering projects within the Municipal & Industrial Water/Wastewater and Water Resources sectors. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in structural design and construction engineering to enhance project execution. The position emphasizes collaboration with a nationally recognized technical staff to address complex engineering challenges.

Requirements

  • 15 years of structural engineering experience in Water/Wastewater.
  • Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License in Structural or Civil/Structural.

Responsibilities

  • Provide geographical leadership for the structural engineering team.
  • Lead water and wastewater design engineering and construction projects.
  • Manage junior and mid-level structural engineering staff.
  • Organize and conduct structural related engineering investigations and planning work.
  • Lead the development of calculations, plans, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Manage the production of engineering and construction drawings and cost estimates.
  • Function as an Engineer of Record, Task Manager, or Project Engineer on projects.
  • Facilitate coordination for timely completion and submission of projects.
