Job description

Arcadis is seeking a Staff Stormwater Transportation Engineer to join their Atlanta drainage practice. This role focuses on delivering innovative solutions for roadway and stormwater infrastructure projects. The team is expanding due to a strong pipeline of projects, providing opportunities for professional growth and collaboration. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
  • EIT working towards PE License.
  • 4+ years of DOT drainage design experience.
  • Experience working on DOT projects is preferred.
  • In-depth understanding of Bridge Hydraulics Analysis is preferred.
  • Knowledge of stormwater design including open channel conveyance and closed drainage systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform engineering design for roadway drainage and design-build projects.
  • Conduct bridge hydraulic studies, culvert design, and closed drainage system design.
  • Prepare construction plans, project displays, cost estimates, reports, and technical memos.
  • Lead marketing efforts for drainage projects including proposal development and presentations.
  • Provide quality control reviews for drainage calculations and plans.
  • Utilize design software such as MicroStation, Inroads, and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Coordinate with project managers and other disciplines.
  • Mentor and direct junior engineers.
  • Work independently with minimal technical supervision.
