Job description

Arcadis is seeking a self-starting, dynamic Civil Engineer / Environmental Engineer to support a diverse portfolio of projects across the United States. The role involves collaboration with scientists, engineers, and project managers on civil design and environmental permitting projects in sectors such as energy, industrial, and transportation. The ideal candidate will engage in land development planning and erosion control evaluations while also contributing to construction cost evaluations. This position primarily involves office-based work, with some field assignments required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
  • Prior experience with soil erosion and sediment control, either through internship or full-time employment
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, or other terrain modeling design software

Responsibilities

  • Engage in land development planning and hydraulic/hydrologic modeling
  • Conduct engineering calculations and erosion and sediment control evaluations
  • Develop permit and construction-level drawings and details
  • Prepare technical specifications and reports for civil and environmental permitting
  • Provide office-based support for active construction projects, including submittal reviews and field change documentation
  • Conduct field assignments as needed, including contractor oversight and site inspections
