Job description

Arcadis is seeking a Staff Civil/Process Mechanical Engineer to join their growing Design Team in Akron, OH. The role focuses on water, wastewater, and recycled water projects, requiring a minimum of 4 years of experience. The engineer will work on various design and construction engineering tasks while engaging with clients to provide solutions. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related field of study.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in water/wastewater/recycled water facilities design and construction support.
  • Current PE License in Ohio, or ability to obtain within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Use Arcadis standards and specifications for water/wastewater design and construction projects.
  • Provide design and construction support for water/wastewater treatment plants, storm water systems, distribution/collection systems, and pump/lift stations.
  • Assist in the creation of construction documents and specifications while overseeing the work of CAD staff.
  • Meet established budgets and delivery schedules for each assignment.
  • Engage with clients to support their needs and provide solutions.
  • Coordinate execution of projects with other engineering disciplines and office personnel.
  • Develop design projects from inception to completion and prepare construction packages for clients.
  • Create cost estimates and project schedules, and perform detailed engineering calculations and analysis.
