Arcadis is seeking a Roadway/Transportation Design Engineer to join their team in Jacksonville, FL. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field
- Proficient in the use of MS Office tools such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Basic understanding of geometric and traffic operations principles including AASHTO, MUTCD, and state DOT requirements/policies
- EIT Certification is preferred
- Experience using OpenRoads is preferred
Responsibilities
- Utilize various software platforms including Microstation and OpenRoads to prepare conceptual designs and construction plans.
- Complete transportation planning reports, roadway safety studies, and general traffic engineering projects.
- Create engineering designs including geometric design of highways and streets and drainage design.
- Conduct inspections and develop Erosion Prevention and Sediment Control (EPSC) plans.
- Collect traffic and highway field data as a key component of the role.
