Arcadis is seeking an experienced Fire Protection Engineer to join their US Places Design & Engineering team in Raleigh, North Carolina. The role involves collaborating with other engineers and architects on various facility design projects, including federal projects. The engineer will lead the fire protection discipline through all project phases, ensuring effective design and implementation. This position requires travel to project sites for surveys and collaboration with clients.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BS) in mechanical or fire protection engineering.
- Fire Protection Professional Engineering Licensure in the United States.
- Extensive experience producing IFC design packages for federal agency facilities.
- Deep knowledge of life safety codes and industry standards.
- Advanced technical understanding of fire alarm and suppression systems.
Responsibilities
- Lead design teams and mentor junior staff to develop construction-ready design packages.
- Develop budgets, proposals, schedules, and project plans.
- Identify, qualify, and pursue potential clients and project opportunities.
- Conduct fire protection site surveys and data collection for studies.
- Collaborate with client team members on project execution.
