Arcadis is seeking a Senior Stormwater Transportation Engineer to join their Tampa, FL drainage practice. The role involves working on a variety of roadway drainage and design-build projects across the southeast. The team is expanding due to a strong backlog of work, providing opportunities for career growth and collaboration on local, national, and international projects. Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant FDOT drainage design experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET Accredited University.
- Florida PE license.
- Experience working on FDOT projects.
- In-depth understanding of Bridge Hydraulics Analysis.
- Understanding of FEMA floodplain regulations.
- Knowledge of stormwater design including open channel conveyance and closed drainage systems.
- Experience with permitting requirements of Water Management Districts and FDEP.
- Knowledge of stormwater treatment using appropriate BMPs suitable for linear transportation projects.
- Effective communication (written and verbal) and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities
- Perform engineering design for roadway drainage and design-build projects.
- Assist in all aspects of roadway drainage design including hydraulic studies and culvert design.
- Prepare construction plans, project displays, cost estimates, reports, and technical memos.
- Lead marketing efforts for drainage and assist in proposal development.
- Provide quality control reviews for drainage calculations and plans.
- Utilize various design software to assist with design and preparation of construction plans.
- Coordinate with project managers and other disciplines including roadway and structures.
- Direct and mentor junior engineers.
- Manage a team of up to 5 engineers.
