Job description
Arcadis is seeking a Water Wastewater Project Engineer to join their team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This role involves providing technical expertise and leadership while managing various water and wastewater engineering projects. The engineer will work on tasks such as design, planning, and construction administration, ensuring compliance with industry standards. The position requires collaboration with team members across different locations and mentoring junior staff to enhance team capabilities.
Requirements
- 5 years of relevant experience in water/wastewater engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical or a related field.
- Professional Engineering (PE) License or the ability to obtain one within 6 months.
- 8 years of relevant water/wastewater experience is preferred.
- Experience in design or consulting engineering or a municipal work environment.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, plan, design, permit, and manage projects for water/wastewater and conveyance.
- Oversee the development of design calculations, technical reports, and specifications.
- Support professional engineering services during construction, including observation and review of shop drawings.
- Facilitate coordination for timely project completion within budget constraints.
- Mentor junior-level engineering and design/drafting staff to uphold project standards.
