Job description

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer to join their Resilience Water Team in Clifton Park, New York. This role focuses on leading and executing water and wastewater projects primarily within municipal markets. The engineer will utilize their expertise in conveyance and master planning to manage project delivery and build strong client relationships. This position offers significant growth opportunities and requires a self-motivated, team-oriented individual.

Requirements

  • 10 years of relevant engineering experience in conveyance system investigations and rehabilitation.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering in Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 12+ years of experience is preferred.
  • Master's in Civil, Environmental, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
  • Project Management experience on municipal water, wastewater, or stormwater projects of various sizes is preferred.
  • Proficient in ArcGIS Pro.
  • P.E. License is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and support the development of water and wastewater projects.
  • Manage tasks/projects and clients’ expectations for the planning, design, and construction of distribution/collection systems.
  • Create construction documents, specifications, and handle construction oversight/administration.
  • Work directly with clients to determine needs and develop the right strategies and solutions.
  • Supervise and support the work of others, including mentoring junior staff.
  • Be involved in grant writing and GIS mapping/analysis.
