Job description
Arcadis is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cost Engineer to support the Gateway Hudson Tunnel Project, a critical infrastructure initiative in the United States. This role is part of a multidisciplinary team working to enhance mobility and resiliency in the Northeast Corridor. The Cost Engineer will play a vital role in managing project costs and ensuring financial accuracy. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience managing cost on large-scale infrastructure and transit projects.
- Experience with Kahua, Sage, Unifier, and E-builder.
Responsibilities
- Verify contractor invoices for accuracy and compliance.
- Track and analyze project costs, comparing budgeted costs to actual expenditures and earned values.
- Generate detailed monthly reports for upper management and stakeholders, highlighting cost variances, performance indices, and forecasts.
- Use tools like Power BI and Excel to visualize data and ensure that it accurately reflects the project's financial health.
- Input and manage cost-related data in PMIS platforms like E-builder, Unifier, or Kahua.
- Maintain data accuracy and consistency across systems, understanding system structures, workflows, and data dependencies.
- Oversee data imports and exports between PMIS and other data management tools like Access and Excel.
- Work closely with project managers to establish and manage the project budget, tracking expenditures and adjusting forecasts as needed.
- Monitor budget trends and analyze expenditures against the forecast to identify potential risks or opportunities.
- Act as the primary point of contact for cost-related inquiries, ensuring clear and concise communication with various project stakeholders.
