Arcadis is seeking a process mechanical engineer to join their Industrial Water Treatment and Optimization team. The role focuses on the design of industrial water and wastewater treatment plants, requiring collaboration with subject matter experts. The ideal candidate will have experience in preparing engineering drawings and technical reports. This position involves managing design tasks and conducting site visits for various project phases.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering
- 2+ years of consulting engineering experience in industrial wastewater
- Experience with water/wastewater equipment for industrial clients
- Professional Engineer registration in one or more states is preferred
- Master's degree in engineering is a plus
- Experience with Design-Build and/or EPC projects is preferred
Responsibilities
- Function as the process mechanical engineer on industrial water/wastewater projects
- Lead design tasks with assistance from senior engineers and subject matter experts
- Develop engineering designs including drawings, specifications, P&IDs, and technical reports
- Coordinate with drafters/designers and other disciplines to complete construction documents
- Support engineering services during construction, including submittal reviews and responses to requests for information
- Verify performance and conformity with design drawings through field inspection and testing
- Seek guidance and implement feedback from senior engineering staff
