Arcadis is seeking a process mechanical engineer to join their Industrial Water Treatment and Optimization team. The ideal candidate will have over 2 years of consulting engineering experience and will focus on the design of industrial water and wastewater treatment plants. This role involves managing design tasks and collaborating with subject matter experts. The position is hybrid and may require site visits across the US and internationally.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Civil, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering
- 2+ years of industrial wastewater experience
- Experience with water/wastewater equipment for industrial clients
- Valid driver's license
- Preferred 4+ years of industrial wastewater experience in consulting
- Professional Engineer registration in one or more states is preferred
- Master's degree or PhD in engineering is a plus
Responsibilities
- Function as the process mechanical engineer on industrial water/wastewater projects
- Lead design tasks with assistance from Arcadis’ IWTO process engineers and senior engineers
- Develop engineering designs including drawings, specifications, P&IDs, calculations, and technical reports
- Coordinate with drafters/designers and other disciplines to complete construction documents
- Support engineering services during construction, including submittal reviews and responses to requests for information
- Verify performance and conformity with design drawings and specifications through field inspection and testing
