The Windows Engineer role within the AWS Infrastructure Services team focuses on building and managing large-scale Windows server environments. This team is responsible for supporting critical infrastructure services that power Amazon's e-commerce and cloud computing platforms. Candidates will work in a dynamic environment alongside a diverse group of engineers and specialists, ensuring high availability and security for AWS customers. • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field or relevant work experience.
• 5+ years of experience deploying, managing, and supporting large-scale Windows Server environments with 500+ servers.
• Expert understanding of Windows tools such as Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, Hyper-V, and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager.
• Proficiency in PowerShell or a similar scripting language.
• Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems in a 24/7 production environment.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP and networking protocols such as HTTP and DNS.
• 5+ years of experience with virtualization technologies such as Hypervisors, VMware, or Xen.

• Design, build, and support extensive Windows server environments.
• Implement and manage enterprise-scale tooling for a large Windows fleet.
• Develop and implement best practices for automating tasks and scripting.
• Utilize creativity and analytical skills to solve complex problems.
