The Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) team is seeking a cleared Systems Development Engineer to leverage cloud computing technologies for U.S. Government agencies. This role involves troubleshooting complex system operations and developing new features for services like Amazon Simple Queue and Notification Services. The team operates in a fast-paced environment, focusing on enhancing customer experience and operational scalability. Candidates must possess an active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional)
- 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 1+ years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems
- Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals including networking, storage, and operating systems
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Experience working in an Agile environment using the Scrum methodology
- Experience with distributed systems at scale
- Experience with Linux/Unix
Responsibilities
- Support AWS Storage and Data services engineering and operations by managing and monitoring systems health and status.
- Provision devices, assist with data ingestion, and perform device cleaning.
- Troubleshoot device, network, and configuration-related issues.
- Identify, document, and communicate engineering and operations recommendations to team members.
- Write and disseminate after-action reports capturing key events and actions taken.
- Provide on-call support when necessary.
