The Sr. Systems Development Engineer will focus on developing transformative systems that enhance facility design and deployment. This role is part of the Engineering Quality Management team within World Wide Design Engineering, where innovative AI-powered solutions are created to optimize operations. The engineer will leverage advanced technologies such as AI/ML systems and autonomous robotics to drive efficiencies. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to pushing the boundaries of innovation.
Requirements
- 5+ years of development/programming/scripting language experience in Python, Java, or Perl.
- 2+ years of professional software development experience or a Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in building complex software systems.
- Experience in warehouse operations and logistics or equivalent.
- Master's degree in Computer Science.
Responsibilities
- Identify and implement strategic technical solutions for AI/ML systems and autonomous robotics.
- Contribute to product roadmaps and drive cross-functional execution priorities.
- Write status and build reports for cross-functional leadership review.
- Mentor engineers and share best practices across multi-disciplinary teams.
- Design and implement systems and tools that enable high quality launches of large Amazon fulfillment centers.
