Job description

The Senior SoC Modeling Engineer will develop and own functional models for custom SoCs used in AWS's Machine Learning servers. This role involves collaboration with various teams, including architecture and software, to build and deploy models that enhance performance and usability. The position is part of Annapurna Labs, which focuses on designing custom silicon and software solutions. The engineer will also innovate on tooling to improve customer experience and support the development of cutting-edge cloud computing offerings.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
  • 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
  • 5+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle
  • Experience as a mentor or tech lead
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Develop and own SoC functional models end-to-end, including architecture and integration.
  • Work closely with architecture, RTL design, and software teams to build and debug models.
  • Innovate on tooling to enhance customer usability of SoC models.
  • Drive performance improvements in modeling infrastructure.
  • Develop maintainable and reusable software with proper documentation and testing.
