The Industrial Design Engineer at World Wide Engineering & Innovation (WWEI) will focus on the development and validation of next-generation automation products in collaboration with third-party vendors. This role involves working closely with hardware engineering teams to design, prototype, and test automation solutions across various applications. The engineer will translate operational requirements into product specifications and influence mechanical design and system architecture. The position requires approximately 25% travel to vendor sites and testing locations.

• 5+ years of experience in Design/Innovation, research & development, manufacturing, process, industrial engineering, or related experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Master's degree in Engineering or foreign equivalent is preferred.
• Knowledge of system architecture, optimization, system dynamics, statistical analysis, and reliability analysis.
• Experience with complex automated material handling equipment and design-in-safety.

• Support the development of automation products from concept through pilot readiness.
• Translate operational needs into product requirements and collaborate with hardware engineering teams.
• Lead testing and validation activities, including defining test plans and executing trials.
• Analyze performance metrics such as throughput, reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Coordinate prototype builds and ensure readiness for pilot deployment.
