The Amazon Luna team is seeking a Software Development Engineer to enhance its cloud gaming service, enabling customers to stream games on various devices. The engineer will be responsible for developing scalable services and driving projects from concept to production. • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
• 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
• Experience as a mentor or tech lead in an engineering team
• 5+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices
• Experience with video encoding and streaming media standards
• Experience in Linux/Wine/Proton software and operating system stack

• Own end-to-end software development by designing, implementing, testing, and operating scalable services for Luna's streaming infrastructure.
• Drive rapid innovation by developing quick proof-of-concepts and iterating on prototypes.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and QA to deliver consumer-facing features.
• Mentor and lead the team by guiding design decisions and best-practice adoption.
• Dive deep into low-level details of Windows/Linux and related stack components to enhance performance.
• Provide strategic input for product direction based on technical insights.
