Job description

The Data Engineer role in the Worldwide Operations Finance Standardization & Automation team focuses on establishing a reliable data platform to support analytics and reporting for Operations Finance customers. The position involves designing and implementing scalable data infrastructure solutions, integrating with various data sources, and ensuring data quality. The team supports a global data management ecosystem and aims to drive innovation through AI capabilities. The ideal candidate will work closely with business owners and technical teams to meet data needs effectively.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of data engineering experience
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS
  • Knowledge of distributed systems as it pertains to data storage and computing
  • Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions
  • Experience with non-relational databases or data stores
  • Experience building large-scale, high-throughput, 24x7 data systems

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain complex data solutions and ETL pipelines using Python, Spark, SQL, and AWS services.
  • Develop high-quality data architecture and scalable pipelines to support customer reporting needs.
  • Interface with technology teams to extract, transform, and load data from various sources, ensuring data quality.
  • Collaborate with business users, developers, and BI Engineers to deliver on data architecture projects.
  • Actively participate in code reviews, design discussions, and team planning.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to drive innovation and scale existing solutions.
  • Diagnose and resolve operational issues through detailed root cause analysis.
