Job description
In this role, you will influence water chemistry and treatment for AWS's global data centers, coordinating with various teams to ensure the design and operation of water treatment systems meet high standards. You will be responsible for overseeing project-related work, including water supply analysis and design, while ensuring compliance with local codes and regulations. As a subject matter expert, you will provide guidance to contractors and internal teams, contributing to the continual improvement of water system design standards. This position offers the opportunity to work on a global scale and be part of a diverse team dedicated to innovation in cloud infrastructure.
Requirements
- 6+ years of data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance experience
- 6+ years of industrial or commercial engineering experience in mission critical facilities
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
- Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment
- Experience with water treatment design for industrial water, domestic water, and wastewater
- Professional Engineering or Architectural License
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations for your region
Responsibilities
- Drive improvement of design standards and project approaches across the organization.
- Work with third party design vendors to ensure compliance with established design standards.
- Provide high quality water treatment advice on a wide variety of projects globally.
- Coordinate with construction, commissioning, and risk management teams to address inquiries.
- Ensure code compliance, design and installation standards, and conduct inspections.
- Meet with Authorities Having Jurisdiction as needed to ensure approval of water treatment features.
