Job description
The Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) team is seeking a cleared ADC Engineer to support U.S. Government agencies by implementing innovative cloud computing solutions. This role involves troubleshooting complex system operations and building new features for services like Amazon EFS, FSx, S3 on Outposts, and Amazon MQ. The engineer will work closely with top engineers and have a significant impact on large-scale systems. A strong foundation in operating systems, networking, and cloud services is essential for success in this position.
Requirements
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
- High school or equivalent diploma, or A+ or CND or Network+ or Security+ certification
- 1+ years of Linux systems administration and/or development experience
- 1+ years of technical support experience
- 1+ years of networking and troubleshooting experience
- Experience with distributed systems at scale
- Experience with service-oriented architecture and web services
- Experience with systems administration on either Linux/UNIX or Windows operating systems
Responsibilities
- Support AWS Storage and Data services engineering and operations.
- Manage and monitor systems health and status.
- Provision devices, assist with data ingestion, and perform device cleaning.
- Troubleshoot device, network, and configuration related issues.
- Identify, document, and communicate engineering and operations recommendations to team members.
- Write and disseminate after action reports capturing key events, actions taken, and future mitigation plans.
- Provide on-call support.
